What is the record retention requirement for the Electronic Export Information (EEI)?
All parties to the export transaction (owners and operators of the exporting carriers, U.S. Principal Parties in Interest (USPPIs), Foreign Principal Parties in Interest (FPPIs), and/or authorized agents) shall retain documents pertaining to the export shipment for five (5) years from the date of export.
